CIFP Case Competition - March 29, 2014


Three School of Business students, Ryan Pare, Ryan Laker and Eric Brabander with lead coach Chris Kellman, participated in the in the West Coast inaugural CIFP (Canadian Institute of Financial Planners) case challenge/competition in Calgary on March 29. Camosun was the WINNER!!!!

CIFP

The CIFP Case Challenge provides students with an opportunity to take what they have learned in their financial services programs and demonstrate their financial planning skills. The CIFP Case Challenge Competition gives students an opportunity to: interact effectively in team situations; analyze real business and financial planning problems; develop appropriate solutions; and present these solutions to a panel of financial planning professionals.

Get ready to register for Fall 2014

Step 1: Web declare Beginning April 2, 2014

Step 2. Pay Your Deposit

Use Camlink to pay your non-refundable $175 registration deposit. Deposits must be paid at least one week before your registration date. You may pay your deposit in person but expect lineups at the cashier.

Step 3. Build Your Timetable

  1. Read Your Guide to Online Registration

  2. Prepare for your registration day. Beginning May 14, 2014 you can search for classes on Camlink and build your preferred timetable. Your preferred course selections will be saved to use as a guide to help you actually register in step 4.

Step 4. Register

On your registration date you must use Camlink to REGISTER in your classes.

Step 5. Pay Your Fees

See your fees then pay your fees by the deadlines below. They may be paid using online banking or in person by cash or cheque. Please expect lineups at the cashier if paying in person.

Fall - September 16, 2014
Quarter 1 - October 6, 2014

Submit your Application to Graduate

GraduationIf you are completing your program by this April 2014, you must fill out an Application to Graduate form to receive your credential and be invited to the Graduation Ceremony being held June 2014.

Complete the Application to Graduate form and submit to Student Services.

Walk Safer Program

Walk Safer ProgramWalk Safer offers evening campus patrols and escorts September through April. For a volunteer walking escort to your car or bus at night, call 250-370-3666.

Walk Safer encourages a sense of personal and community safety and responsibility for others—everyone benefits and can be part of the solution. Volunteers are screened with a criminal record check, and complete a training session.

Walk Safer is always seeking dependable volunteers with an honest desire to help, and an ability to work with others. To volunteer, or to find out more drop by the Student Society.

English Help Centre

Help Centre for International English language learners in college-level courses

Open to any international student taking a college-level course in any program.

Please bring your assignment and any working drafts with you.

You can book a 30-minute appointment twice per week
Advice and tutoring for essay organization and structure

Aboriginal Advisors on Interurban Campus

Providing information and assistance about what programs and services the college has to offer, and how to plan your educational future at Camosun College and beyond. We also work with students to organize study groups and other learning strategies.

There are 2 reports (Lans & Int) which provide a 7-day schedule of available classroom space. The report is updated often throughout the day to reflect any room changes.

It is recommended that students check the schedule prior to using the classroom to ensure the space is still available as availability is always subject to change.

CBA Computer Labs

Computer labsCentre for Business and Access (CBA) Labs are available

7 Days a week
7am - 10:30pm

CBA 220 is available for most days for student use.
Please check lab schedule, as there may be the rare booked class.

Students and faculty will be allowed access to the CBA building,
via the card swipe, on all stats, except during Christmas break.
